APPLICATION PROCESS
Transcripts
When applying to the London Business School MBA program, applicants must provide a transcript of grades from each university they have attended. If an offer is made, these transcripts need to be submitted, and they should also be accompanied by a certified translation into English if the original documents are in a different language.
GMAT or GRE
Prospective applicants are required to have a valid GMAT score before submitting their application. London Business School also accepts GRE scores as an alternative. For GMAT submissions, the Full-time MBA program’s code is Z11-J7-50. It’s important to note that candidates might be requested by the Admissions Committee to retake the GMAT before receiving an offer.
Foreign Language Requirement
For individuals whose native language is not English or who haven’t been studying in English-speaking environments for at least two years, language proficiency tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge CPE, CAE, or PTE Academic are mandatory. TOEFL institution code for London Business School is 0898.
Recommendations
Applicants are required to nominate a referee, who can either be their current employer or someone familiar with their work context. London Business School reserves the right to contact the referee for additional information regarding the application.
Essay Description
Essays are a critical component of the application process. There are two essay questions. The first one asks applicants about their post-MBA goals and how their prior experience, along with the London Business School program, will contribute to these goals.
The second question, which is optional, allows candidates to share any additional information they believe the Admissions Committee should know about them and their application to London Business School.
Resume
As part of the application, candidates are required to upload a one-page CV. If there are significant gaps in employment history, applicants are expected to provide explanations on a separate sheet.

LondonCAP

LondonCAP stands for London Core Application Practicum and allows students to benefit from local organizations and business who are eager to build connections with the LBS student body. This project lets students implement their new skills while creating innovative solutions and while working cross-sectionally with peers and sectors. Former students have worked with such organizations like the BBC, Football Association, AB InBev and the British Fashion Council.
GLAM
GLAM – The Global Leadership Assessment of Managers is for students to develop their hard and soft skills further. Students expand their cultural understanding while deepening their digital and communication skills. GLAM is designed to help students thrive as leaders upon graduation and during their studies.

Before classes even start, new students embark on 3 required courses that teach the business fundamentals necessary for a successful MBA at LBS. Rajesh Chandy
Professor Chandy is a professor of Marketing at London Business School. He is also the Tony and Maureen Chair for Entrepreneurship as well as the Academic Director at the Wheeler Institute for Business and Development. With such impressive titles, it is no wonder that Professor Chandy is a well-researched and published academic. He works on the advisory board for the Journal of Marketing and is Co-editor of Management Sciences special issue Business and Climate Change. His published work has also received numerous rewards.
Joao Cocco
Professor Cocco works as a professor of Finance and the Chief Examiner. He is also a research fellow at the Center for Economic Policy Research and the Center for Financial Studies. Additionally, he is a founding member of the CEPR Network on Household FInance. He received both his MA and PhD from Harvard University. He is well-researched and well-published, with his research appearing in such works as the Journal of Financial Economics and the Review of Financial Studies.
