APPLICATION PROCESS
Transcripts
Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized U.S. institution or its equivalent. They must submit transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, whether on a full-time or part-time basis.
GMAT or GRE
All candidates are required to take either the GMAT or the GRE.
Foreign Language Requirement
An English language exam must be taken by an individual who is not a native English language speaker or who has not been studying at an English language institution.
Recommendations
‘One letter of recommendation is needed for the application. The letter should come from the applicants’ current employer and show capabilities for working professionally.
Resume
Students need to submit their current CV.
Video Essay
This year applicants need to complete a Video Essay as part of the application. Once the written application is submitted and fees are paid, applicant will receive a Kira Video Essay link (within 24-hours) to be completed by the Application Round Deadline.
The link will expire in 48-hours after receipt. There will be two video essay questions that applicants will be required to complete.

Entrepreneurship Curriculum
Students looking to expand on their entrepreneurial mindset are able to take classes and attend workshops which broaden their knowledge. From learning the fundamentals of entrepreneurial mindset to presenting a business plan, IESE is structured to support the future entrepreneur to become the best they can. A unique summer experience also awaits potential entrepreneurs who can take a 6 weeks course where they earn the skills and knowledge necessary to bring their ideas to life.
First Year
The first year begins with 24 core courses where students learn the fundamentals and skills necessary to succeed in the program. During the first year, students also participate in an internship where they gain the practical skills necessary to succeed in their day-to-day after graduation.

Second Year
After the summer break, students take elective courses which help them mold their studies to best fit their interests. With over 130 electives to choose from, Students will graduate from IESE with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in any career and anywhere on the globe. During the second half of the program, students are also given the opportunity to spend a term at an international partner school where they make connections and build lasting relationships cross-culturally.
Pere Agell
Professor Agell has been with IESE since 1966. He served as director of the MBA program from 1974 to 1980 and has been a member of the IESEs executive committee. His research interests include Bayesian Statistics and Action Theory, Forecasting and Multivariable analysis, Market research, and Scientific methodology and philosophy. He is well-published, having written numerous books and articles. He received his Ph.D. in Industrial engineering from Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya and current serves as an Emeritus professor of Managerial Decision Sciences.
Marta Elvira
Professor Elvira is professor of Strategic Management and Managing People in Organizations. She is currently Chair of Family Owned Business. She is the coeditor of two books and regularly lectures at UCLA’s Leadership Suite – Executive Education Program. She serves on numerous editorial boards. Her research interests include Organizational Demography, Incentive and Human Capital Structures in organizations, Management in Latin America, Professions and Occupations in the Service Sector, Incentive and Human Capital Structures in Organizations, Professions and occupations in the Service Sector, Interoriganizational Cooperation, Management and leadership in Latin America. She received her PhD from U.C. Berkeleys’ Haas school of Business in Organizational Behaviour and Industrial Relations.
