Transcripts
Undergraduate applicants can mail or submit transcripts electronically. Graduate applicants can submit transcripts directly from the issuing school to transcripts@grad.gatech.edu or through various electronic services.
GMAT or GRE
An average GMAT score of 682 is required for admission. GRE Quantitative Score and Verbal Score of 160 and 159, respectively are required for admission.
Foreign Language Requirement
International applicants are encouraged to apply by round 2 for the full-time MBA program in the USA. Non-native English speakers can submit recorded, unscripted interviews through third-party services.
English language proficiency tests such as TOEFL iBT, TOEFL PBT, IELTS, ACT, SAT, Pearson (PTE) academic, and Duolingo English Test (DET) are accepted.
2 Recommendations
For the Full-time MBA application at Georgia Tech, two professional letters of recommendation are mandatory. The online application allows applicants to add up to three recommenders, although only two recommendations are necessary. One of these recommendations must come from the applicant’s current or former manager. Upon sending a recommendation request through the online application, an email with instructions on completing the online letter of recommendation will be sent directly to the recommender. It is the applicant’s responsibility to inform each recommender beforehand to ensure the receipt of the recommendation request email.
Essay Description
Applicants for the MBA program at Georgia Tech are required to submit three essays and have the option to submit an additional one. The first required essay asks candidates to explain their motivation for pursuing an MBA at Georgia Tech, detailing both professional and personal experiences that have led to this decision, within a limit of 2,000 characters. The second required essay focuses on short-term career goals post-MBA, also with a 2,000-character limit. The third obligatory essay asks applicants to share ten interesting facts about themselves within the same character limit. There is an optional essay, allowing candidates to provide any additional information they deem relevant to their application, addressing unique aspects of their candidacy or perceived weaknesses, also within a 2,000-character limit.

Interview
Interviews are part of the admission process for various rounds of the MBA program. Evening MBA and Executive MBA programs have specific interview rounds.

The full-time MBA program at Scheller is 22 months in length. During this time, students learn how to tackle modern-day business challenges in a digital and tech-driven world. They gain skills to solve complex problems, analytical skills, and opportunities so that students can take their career to new heights. The program is comprised of 54 credit hours. 12 of which are core courses and 11 electives. Through experiential learning, students learn how to apply academic theory in a practice way. With strong connections to global businesses and startup communities, students emerge from their MBA with the skills necessary for the 21st century.
Students begin their time at Scheller with a foundation of courses to solidify their knowledge of business. The Core curriculum is comprised of 12 courses, with elective courses comprising 11 courses. Students can customize their MBA journey through concentrations or immersive tracks.

Sudheer Chava
Professor Chava is the Alton M. Costley Chair and Professor of Finance. As well as the director of the Quantitative & Computational Finance Program. He has worked professionally at a leading investment bank in India before joining academia at Texas A&M and finally coming to Scheller. He teaches courses on Derivatives, Risk Management, Valuation, Cases in Financial Crisis, and Credit Risk Analysis. His work has been published in the Journal of Finance and the Journal of Financial Economics. He has won the Ross Award for his research and has received numerous external research grants. His areas of expertise are in Banking, Corporate Finance, QCF, Finance, Business Analytics, Sustainability and Credit Risk.
Frank T. Rothaermel
Professor Rothaermel is the Russell B. and Nancy H. McDonough Chair in Business. He researches strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He is well published, with his work being cited over 17,000 times, and has recieved numerous awards for his work. He has authored the textbook: Strategic Management which has been translated into 4 different languages. He has worked in the academic world at GE Management Development, St. Gallen University, and Georgetown University.
