Essay Description
The admissions committee looks for the following: good communication skills, leadership potential, analytical skills, fit with the Oxford MBA community, among other characteristics.

Two motivation-based questions – all candidates will answer the same questions.
Two competency-based questions – these will be randomized, light-hearted, written responses are meant to show quick thinking.

Interview

This committee is led by both students and the school. Students engage in African-Related activities as they generate dialogue on how best to engage Business, Entrepreneurship and investment on the African continent. The OBA is an active and vast network of individuals passionate about business. With over 17,500 members, OBA helps contribute to Saiid while bringing together current and former students. The full time MBA program at Saiid Business School is 1 year in length and continues a long tradition of molding the best and brightest to become future business leaders. Saiid aims for students to develop their open mindedness, while gaining a strategic skill set of logical, lateral, and independent thinking that they can use professionally and academically.
Fall Semester
The year begins in September with a launch period where fellow students engage and network with one another. The year is broken up into 3 terms, wherein students take core courses as well as electives. The curriculum is designed so that students graduate prepared for the challenges facing the modern business environment.

Colin Mayer CBE
Professor Mayer is the Peter Moores Professor of management Studies at Said Business School. His expertise lied in corporate finance, governance and taxation, the regulation of financial institutions, and the role of the corporations in contemporary society. He has worked both academically and professionally in the field of business, having served on several editorial boards and also as director and chairman of Oxera.
Peter Tufano
Professor Tufano is the Peter Moores Dean and Professor of Finance at Said Business School. Both an academic and social entrepreneur, Professor Tufano believes strongly in the concept ‘business school embedded within the University` and has worked hard to champion that cause. His research interests are on consumer finance, financial innovation, risk management and corporate financial engineering and mutual funds. He is well published with his works appearing in numerous articles and publications.
