APPLICATION PROCESS
Transcripts
Candidates are required to hold a four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent degree from a foreign country. To complete the application, unofficial transcripts must be uploaded for all academic coursework you have taken directly into the online application.
Official transcripts should only be submitted if the candidate is admitted to the program.
GMAT or GRE
GMAT, GRE and EA scores are accepted.
Foreign Language Requirement
A TOEFL, IELTS or Pearson Test of English (PTE) is required for those who have not attended an undergraduate institution where the sole language of instruction is English and for those who are not native English speakers.
1 Recommendation
Only one recommendation is required for the Georgetown MBA application.
Essay Description
Applicants can select one of the following three essays to complete in 500 words (approximately two pages, double spaced).
- Essay Option One – Georgetown Community

Video Essay
This is the video essay prompt:
In one minute, please share 5-10 random facts about yourself that are not on your resume and how these facts contribute to who you are as a professional and leader.

- You may use your phone, computer, or other means to record the video, but please ensure all audio and visual components are clear. We recommend a well-lit room and minimal noise distraction.
- The admissions committee would like for you to appear in person during part of your video.
- We recommend unscripted, conversational videos – help us get to know the real you!
- Upload your video to an accessible website (such as YouTube, Vimeo, Youku, or Tudou), and submit the direct video URL into your online application.
- Please note that all videos must remain active and accessible to the admissions committee online for a minimum of five years for record retention purposes.

Resume
Students need to submit their current business resume that corresponds to the information submitted in the “Employment” section of the online application.
The resume should clearly identify part-time and internship experience, as well as months and years in each position.

Interviews are offered by invitation only.

ITreks
International Treks at McDonough give students hands-on international experience. Traveling globally means students can network with alumni and fellow students as they engage with different cultures. These are student run trips which compliment the Global Business Experience also offered by McDonough. Previous destinations include Colombia, Israel and Mexico.

First Year
The first year at McDonough is filled with core courses designed to prepare students for the challenges of their academic and professional career. Broken into two semesters, students are allowed to attend elective courses first in the spring term. During the spring term, 3 credit Intensive Learning Experiences are also possible choices.

Second Year
The Second year allows students a more flexible schedule where they can select elective courses from over 70 choices. During rall break, students have the potential to attend career week where they can network and further their professional skills.
Reena Aggarwal
Professor Aggarwal is the Robert E. McDOnough Professor of Finance and Director for the Georgetown Center for financial markets and policy. Her research interests include global finance markets, capital raising, initial public offerings, initial coin offerings, FinTech, and more. She has received numerous awards, including BlackRock National Association of Corporate Directors Award. She received her MMS from Birla Institute of Technology and Science and her PhD from University of Maryland College Park.
Charles J. Skuba
Professor Skuba is Professor of Practice and Senior Associate Dean for the Executive Custom Programs. he has received the professor of the year student choice award in 2015, 2014, 2013, and 2010. He worked professional as chief of staff market acces and compliance for the US department of commerce, international trade administration. He recieved his MBA from George Washinigton University and his BSFS from Georgetown University.
