While some schools have begun to accept GRE scores, showcasing a high LSAT score is the most direct route to elite programs and can make you a more competitive candidate. It will also enhance your chances of receiving scholarships and gaining admission to top-tier law schools.

A new format for the LSAT exam comes into effect in the 2024-2025 testing year. The new format will go into effect starting in August 2024 as announced by the Law School Admission Council.

The new format will feature two scored Logical Reasoning (LR) sections, one scored Reading Comprehension (RC) section, and one unscored section of either LR or RC. The Analytical Reasoning (AR) section will be removed.

The LSAT will continue to assess the essential skills for success in law school and legal practice, with minimal impact on overall scores and the strong correlation between LSAT scores and first-year law school performance.

The current 120-180 score range will remain the same, providing continuity for schools and test takers. The change is designed to have minimal impact on test takers who have already begun preparing for the LSAT, as they are already familiar with the LR section.

For tests administered up to and including June 2024, the format will remain unchanged, consisting of one LR section, one RC section, one AR section, and one unscored section that could be any of the three types.

We can provide you with the tools and knowledge necessary to excel in all these sections.
